Abstract:
In order to provide an electric vehicle that is driven by tires having improved fuel efficiency compared to prior-art vehicles, an electric vehicle 1 comprises a drive motor 2, a battery 3, an inverter 4, an ECU 5, tires 6, and a control unit that, when the vehicle is traveling, alternately repeats a power supply state in which a driving force is applied to the tires 6 and a power regeneration state in which the battery 3 is charged with power. As a result, the waste of thermal energy due to the elastic deformation of prior-art tires can be minimized, whereby improved fuel efficiency over prior-art vehicles can be expected.
