Abstract:
In a testing apparatus in which a vehicle model is assembled in a tire testing apparatus, the behavior of a tire in a three-dimensional behavior of a vehicle can be simulated even when a three-dimensional vehicle model is used. A tire HIL simulator has a tire testing apparatus (2) and a control apparatus (3) connected to each other. The tire testing apparatus (2) is an apparatus for performing a traveling test of a tire (4a) by using a substitute road surface body (4) and has a side force measurement means (37) that measures tire side force and actuators that apply a ground contact load, side slip angle, and camber angle individually. The control apparatus (3) calculates, using a vehicle model (5), three-dimensional motion of the vehicle by using a steering angle and tire side force from the side force measurement means (37) as inputs and, based on the result of the calculation, control apparatus (3) outputs a command value of each of the ground contact load, side slip angle, and camber angle to each of the actuators of the tire testing device (2).
