Abstract:

Provided are: a tire inner-layer rubber composition that can favorably suppress discoloration and can obtain superior ozone resistance in a wide range of environmental temperatures; and a pneumatic tire that uses the tire inner-layer rubber composition. The tire inner-layer rubber composition contains normal alkanes having each of 20-32 carbon atoms. Preferably, for every 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber component, the total contained amount of the normal alkanes having each of 20-32 carbon atoms is 0.1-2.5 parts by mass, and the total contained amount of a phenylendiamine-based antioxidant and a quinone-based antioxidant is 0-4 parts by mass. The tire inner-layer rubber composition preferably contains a total of no greater than 0.1 parts by mass of normal alkanes having at least 48 carbon atoms for every 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber component. Preferably, no greater than 15 parts by mass of process oil are contained for every 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber component.
