Title:
TIRE VULCANIZATION DEVICE AND TIRE PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/029724
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a tire vulcanization device which exhibits excellent durability and is unlikely to wear down at the mold-splitting surfaces between a sector and the side plates even when repeatedly used. To this end, a tire vulcanization device is equipped with a sector 13 for molding a tire tread section 1, a pair of upper and lower side plates 11, 12 for molding the tire sidewall section 2, a segment 21 that moves the sector 13 in the radial direction of the tire and is affixed to the sector 13, a pair of upper and lower attachment plates 23, 24 that are affixed to the pair of upper and lower side plates 11, 12, and mold-splitting surfaces 16, 16 formed between the sector 13 and the side plates 11, 12. The mold-splitting surfaces 16, 17 extend outward in the radial direction of the tire from mold inside end sections 16a, 17a, and are positioned in a manner such that the mold inside end sections 16a, 17a are located on the tread section 1. The segment 21 is equipped with a pair of upper and lower sliding surfaces 27, 29 which slide on the pair of upper and lower attachment plates 23, 24. The pair of upper and lower sliding surfaces 27, 29 extend outward in the tire radial direction while slanting toward the center in the tire widthwise direction. As a result, this tire vulcanization device widens the space at the mold-splitting surfaces 16, 17 when the pair of upper and lower sliding surfaces 27, 29 slide on the pair of upper and lower attachment plates 23, 24 as the segment 21 moves the sector 13 outward in the radial direction of the tire.
