Abstract:

Provided is a tire the durability of which is improved by using, as a reinforcing material, polyester cords with improved heat-resistant bonding with rubber. This tire employs a rubber cord composite comprising polyester cords and rubber as a reinforcing material. The polyester cords are formed by twisting polyester filaments together, then applying an adhesive agent. The polyester filaments are formed from fiber comprising polyester having ethylene terephthalate as main repeating units and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.85 or greater. The amount of terminated carboxyl groups in the fiber is 20 eq/ton or greater, the long period according to small angle X-ray diffraction is 9 to 12 nm, and a surface treatment agent comprising an epoxy group is adhered to the fiber surface.
