Abstract:
Provided is a tire that, while having increased cornering power, has a reduced load dependence thereof. The tire is provided with: a carcass (2) straddling between a pair of bead sections (11) in a toroidal shape; and a peripheral belt layer (4) having a cord extending along the peripheral direction of the tire and an inclined belt layer (3) having a cord extending inclined with respect to the peripheral direction of the tire, the peripheral belt layer and the inclined belt layer being provided to the crown section of the carcass (2) at the outside in the radial direction of the tire. The tire is characterized in that: in the peripheral belt layer (4), when the Young's modulus (GPa) of the cord forming the peripheral belt layer (4) is Y, the number of implanted cords per 50 mm of width is n, and the number of layers of the peripheral belt layer (4) is m, when X is defined as X = Y×n×m, X ≥ 750 is satisfied; and the inclined belt layer (3) contains at least two inclined belt layers (3w, 3n) having different widths in the widthwise direction of the tire, the width (W1) in the widthwise direction of the tire of the widest inclined belt layer (3w) and the width (W2) in the widthwise direction of the tire of the narrowest inclined belt layer (3n) satisfying W2 ≤ 0.6W1.
