Abstract:
A tire which has excellent quietness as well as wear performance is provided. In the tread surface region of this tire, an outer central land section (2OUT) is defined by a central circumferential main groove (1CE) and an outer circumferential main groove (1OUT), an inner central land section (2IN) is defined by the central circumferential main groove and an inner circumferential main groove (1IN), and the outer central land section is formed so as to straddle the equatorial plane of the tire. The outer central land section is provided with outer resonators (5), each comprising a first sub-groove (3) that is terminated at both ends within the land section, a first branch groove (4a) that extends from one end (3A) of the first sub-groove to the outer circumferential main groove, and a second branch groove (4b) that extends from the other end (3B) of the first sub-groove to the central circumferential main groove. On the inner central land section, there are formed inner resonators (7), each provided with a second sub-groove (6) that has one end terminated within the land section and the other end directly connecting to the inner circumferential main groove or connecting to the inner circumferential main groove via a third branch groove (4c) that has a narrower groove width than the second sub-groove. The length of the outer resonators in the circumferential direction of the tire is greater than the length of the inner resonators in the circumferential direction of the tire.
