Abstract:
Provided is a tire that is capable of the driving performance of a studless tire on icy and snowy roads including icy road surfaces, and that brings together higher-level performance on icy road surfaces, higher-level performance on dry road surfaces, and especially higher-level wear-resistance. A pneumatic tire (10) according to the present invention satisfies the relational expression 1.05≤(hs/hc)≤4.00, where hc is the average sipe interval on a center section block, said average sipe interval being the average interval between neighboring sipes in a circumferential direction of the tire, said center section block being a block that is provided to a location that includes an equatorial center line of the tire, and hs is the average sipe interval on a shoulder block, said shoulder block being a block that is located at a ground-touching edge in a widthwise direction of the tire.
