Abstract:
Provided is a tire having a steel cord with improved water corrosion resistance, fretting durability, and cord cracking resistance, said steel cord being utilized in a carcass ply.　The tire utilizes a carcass ply 1 as a skeleton. The carcass ply is reinforced by a steel cord that does not have a wrapping filament. There are three or more core filaments among a plurality of steel filaments constituting the steel cord. At least a portion of the surface of a steel filament is covered by a resin material including at least an ionomer, and when the resin component included in the resin material comprises a single resin, the melting point of the resin material is not more than 150°C, and when the resin component comprises a composition including two or more resins, the softening point of the resin material is not more than 150°C.
