Abstract:
The present invention provides a tire which has achieved a good balance between steering stability and ride quality. This tire comprises: a carcass 104 that is composed of a carcass ply; and a belt 105 that is composed of a belt layer. The belt layer is formed of an elastomer-metal cord composite body which is obtained by covering a metal cord with an elastomer for belts, said metal cord being composed of a bundle of a plurality of metal filaments that are arranged in a row without being twisted; at least one pair of adjacent metal filaments that are different from each other in at least one of patterning amount and patterning pitch is present in the metal cord; the carcass ply is composed of an organic fiber cord that is covered with an elastomer for carcasses; the fineness per one fiber of the organic fiber cord is from 500 dtex to 5,000 dtex (inclusive); and the ratio of the volume Sc of the organic fiber cord to the volume Sr of the elastomer for carcasses in unit area of the carcass ply, namely Sc/Sr is more than 0.05 but 0.65 or less.
