Abstract:
Provided is a tissue base paper or tissue paper which exhibits excellent softness. In this tissue base paper, ridges are formed in the direction perpendicular to the grain direction of the tissue base paper, while the total length of the ridges per unit area is adjusted to 200 to 270mm/cm2. Further, the basis weight of the tissue base paper is adjusted to 13 to 18g/m2. Additionally, the height of a stack composed of 20 sheets of the tissue base paper is adjusted to 5.0 to 6.5mm. The amount of a softener added is adjusted to 0.2 to 0.3wt%, said softener comprising both an imidazolium compound and a fatty acid ester emulsion.
