Abstract:
A hot-rolled α+β titanium alloy sheet obtained from, in mass%, Al: 4.7-5.5%, Fe: 0.5-1.4%, N: not more than 0.03%, Si: 0.15-0.40% with a Si/O ratio of 0.80-2.80, [O]eq in equation (1) being 0.13% to less than 0.25%, and the balance from Ti and impurities. XTD/XND is at least 4.0 when the direction normal to the hot-rolled sheet is defined as the ND direction, the sheet width direction is defined as the TD direction, the direction normal to the (0001) face of the α phase is defined as the c-axis orientation, and, of the relative intensities of (0002) reflections of X-rays by crystal grains, the strongest intensity for which the c-axis orientation falls within 30° of the ND direction is defined as XND and the strongest intensity for which the c-axis orientation falls within ±10°/±10° of the TD direction is defined as XTD. Young's modulus in the sheet width direction is at least 135 GPa and tensile strength in the sheet width direction is at least 1100 MPa. [O]eq = [O]+2.77[N] ∙∙∙ Equation (1)
