Abstract:
Provided is a composite material which has excellent dispersibility in an organic solvent, exhibits excellent transparency when blended in an organic resin, has an ultraviolet ray absorption capability, and is less likely to be deteriorated in the aforementioned properties. A titanium-containing composite material is provided, which has a structural unit represented by formula (1), a TiO2 backbone, and a Ti−O−Si bond. [RSiO3/2] (1) [in formula (1), R represents a group containing a polyoxyalkylene chain] The R is preferably a group represented by formula (1−1). −R1−(OR2)n−OR3 (1−1) [in formula (1−1), R1 represents a single bond or a linking group; R2 represents an alkylene group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms; R3 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; n represents an integer of 2 to 30; and a bond hand extending from the left side of the formula binds to a silicon atom in formula (1).]
