Abstract:
Provided is a titanium material comprising: a matrix which comprises pure titanium or a titanium alloy; and a titanium oxide film formed on the matrix. The peak strength, obtained by thin-film X-ray diffraction analysis of a surface layer of the titanium material at an angle of incidence of 0.3°, satisfies the condition (I (104) + I (200)) / I (101) ≥ 0.08 − 0.004 × I (200), where I (104) is the peak strength based on the Ti2O3 phase (104) plane, I (200) is the peak strength based on the TiO phase (200) plane, I (101) is the peak strength based on the α-Ti (101) plane, 0 < I (104), 0 ≤ I (200), and 0 < I (101). This titanium material is low in cost and provides both conductivity and corrosion resistance.
