Abstract:
Disclosed is a titanium-nickel alloy having improved corrosion resistance wherein
the Ni content is lower in the surface layer. A film (modified layer) wherein the
Ni concentration is extremely lower than that in the inner portion of the alloy is
formed over the surface of a titanium-nickel alloy by performing electrolysis while
adequately controlling the electrolytic solution, thereby improving the corrosion
resistance of the alloy. Specific examples of the electrolytic solution may
include a mixture of glycerol, lactic acid and water (H2O).
