Abstract:
The present invention provides: titanium oxide particles that have higher photocatalytic activity, especially higher photocatalytic activity under visible light than ever before; a dispersion liquid of the titanium oxide particles; a photocatalyst thin film which is formed using this dispersion liquid; a member which has a photocatalyst thin film on the surface; and a method for producing a dispersion liquid of titanium oxide particles. Titanium oxide particles wherein: (1) a tin component and a transition metal component that enhances photocatalytic activity under visible light are solid-solved therein; and (2) an iron component, a titanium component and a silicon component are adhering to the surfaces. A dispersion liquid of titanium oxide particles obtained by dispersing the titanium oxide particles in an aqueous dispersion medium.
