Abstract:
The present invention relates to titanium oxynitride (Ti1-xO1-yNy, x and y are real numbers) having a titanium deficit rock salt structure, wherein x, which denotes the degree of titanium deficit, is larger than 0 and smaller than 1, and y, which denotes the degree of introduction of nitrogen, is larger than 0 and smaller than 1. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing same. According to the present invention, titanium oxynitride having a titanium deficit rock salt structure, in which characteristics of photocatalyst are improved in a visible light region, is provided.
