Abstract:
The present invention provides a titanium slab and a method for manufacturing same, the titanium slab comprising a titanium base and an oxygen enrichment layer disposed on the surface of the pure titanium base, wherein: the center portion of the pure titanium base is composed of a cast structure and a forged structure; a surface portion, which ranges from the surface of the base including the oxygen enrichment layer to the depth of 5-10 mm in a thickness direction, is composed of a spherical recrystalline structure having an average crystal grain size of 10-500 μm; and the oxygen enrichment layer has a maximum thickness of 1 mm or less (including 0 mm).
