Abstract:
A problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a miniature TM010 mode dielectric resonator whereby Qu values are high and sufficient filter characteristics are exhibited, as well as a resonator element mounted in this TM010 mode dielectric resonator which has high Q∙f values, and a miniature dielectric filter whereby sufficient filter characteristics are exhibited. This dielectric filter includes at least one TM010 mode dielectric resonator (1), said TM010 mode dielectric filter (1) comprising a resonator element (11), and a metallic casing (12) which houses the resonator element (11) in close contact with at least one end face of the resonator element (11), the resonator element (11) further comprising: a pillar-shaped dielectric member (14); one or more tube-shaped dielectric members (15) which are positioned concentrically about the circumference region of the pillar-shaped dielectric member (14), and which have a smaller dielectric constant than the pillar-shaped dielectric member (14); and electrodes (16, 17) which are installed at both end faces of the pillar-shaped dielectric member (14) and the tube-shaped dielectric members (15).
