Abstract:
A toilet flushing structure and method. The flushing structure comprises: a bowl portion (11); a first waste removal channel (12); a second waste removal channel; and a trapped water utilization mechanism comprising a recycling container (25), a water guide unit, and a water return unit, and configured to guide locally trapped water from the bowl portion, and store and expel the same. When the toilet is not in use, a water seal is present. Before excretion waste falls into the water seal, trapped water in the water seal is transferred to the recycling container (25) for storage, and then the toilet is flushed according to the following optional method: releasing at most a part of water in the recycling container to the toilet; then expelling waste via the second waste removal channel; and then looping back at least a part of water from the recycling container to the bowl portion or the waste removal channels of the toilet to form a part of the trapped water in the water seal. The flushing structure prevents contamination in the trapped water in the water seal during urination, reducing water use when flushing urine down the toilet.
