Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a toilet paper product which satisfies the three properties of strength, bulk (specific volume), and softness and a process for producing the toilet paper product.
[Solution] A toilet paper product which is constituted of a single- or two-ply sheet, each ply of which has a basis weight of 10-40 g/m2 and a specific volume of 8-25 cm3/g, the toilet paper product having a value of [(dry machine-direction tensile strength (DMDT))×(dry cross-direction tensile strength (DCDT))]1/2 ((geometric tensile strength (GMT)), which is the square root of the product of the DMDT and the DCDT, both measured in accordance with JIS P8113, of 1.47-3.92 N/25 mm.
