Abstract:
[Problem] To provide toilet paper which does not readily tear when used in wiping applications other than for a human body, and which has an excellent texture when used for cleaning a person.
[Solution] The problem is solved by means of 3- or 4-ply toilet paper in which the basis weight of one ply of the toilet paper is at least equal to 14.9 g/m² and at most equal to 16.2 g/m², the overall paper thickness is at least equal to 297 μm and at most equal to 435 μm, the longitudinal dry tensile strength is at least equal to 451 cN/25mm and at most equal to 1001 cN/25mm, and a ratio of the wet tensile strength in the lateral direction to the dry tensile strength in the lateral direction is at least equal to 0.09.
