Abstract:
Provided is a toilet seat apparatus which can accurately detect various behaviors of a human body, such as entering a toilet room, leaving the room, being seated on a toilet seat, separating from the same, and the like. A human detector (5) is provided with a frequency analysis unit (52c), a recognition unit (52e), and a database (52i) which stores sample data. The frequency analysis unit (52c) converts sensor signals to signals in a frequency domain, and extracts the same as signals for each filter bank for different frequency bands. The recognition unit (52e) comprises: a function which treats the frequency distribution of the signals based on the signals for each of the filter banks (5a) as detection data, matches this detection data against the sample data, and detects a human body which has intruded into at least a space in which a toilet bowl (11) has been placed; and a function which detects a human body that has been seated on a toilet seat (12b).
