Abstract:
Provided is a toilet such that splashing of wastewater, urine, and the like can be reduced. The toilet is characterized by comprising a bowl section (2) and a toilet-usage sensor (9) that senses when a user starts using the toilet. In response to sensing by the toilet-usage sensor, the toilet lowers the level of water sealed in the bowl section, and, when a cleaning command has been received, the toilet raises the water level in the bowl section before draining and then carries out the draining and cleaning operation.
