Abstract:

A tone discrimination apparatus for identifying the tone of an object (10b) of inspection, comprising: a reflection amount measuring unit (3) which sheds red, green and blue light on the object (10b) and measures, for each color, the amount of light reflected from the object (10b); and a controller (4) that calculates, for each of two selected reflection amounts outputted from the reflection amount measuring unit (3), a ratio of one reflection amount to the other reflection amount and checks the calculated reflection ratio between the two against the tone discrimination diagram prepared beforehand to determine the tone of the object (10b) under test.
