Abstract:
Disclosed is a toner binder in which a wax can be dispersed with good dispersilibity and which has good electrostatic properties and blocking resistance. The toner binder is characterized by comprising a polyester resin (A) which is produced by the polycondensation of an alcohol component (x) and a carboxylic acid component (y), has a moisture content of 4000 ppm or less after being stored in an environment having a temperature of 28˚C and a humidity of 85% for six hours, and also has a glass transition temperature [Tg] (˚C) of 45 to 75 (˚C), wherein at least one component selected from an aliphatic monool (x1) having 9 to 30 carbon atoms and an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid (y1) having 9 to 30 carbon atoms is contained in the alcohol component (x) and/or the carboxylic acid component (y) in an amount of 2 to 15 mol% relative to the total amount of the components (x) and (y).
