Abstract:

A toner containing a polyester, which has a heat quantity of 1.0 J/g to 15 J/g at a peak assigned to the polyester within the range from 40°C to 70°C in a temperature lowering process as determined by differential scanning calorimetry under the measurement conditions described below. After holding the toner at -20°C, the toner is heated to 130°C at a rate of 10°C/min (a first heating process) and then held for 1 minute. After that, the toner is cooled to -50°C at a cooling rate of 10°C/min (the above-mentioned temperature lowering process), and then held for 5 minutes. Subsequently, the toner is heated to 130°C at a rate of 10°C/min (a second heating process).
