Abstract:
This toner for developing electrostatic images comprises a plurality of toner particles, each of which comprises a toner core and a shell layer that encloses said toner core. The shell layers contain a thermosetting resin. At least 90% of the mass of the toner is insoluble in tetrahydrofuran. The melt viscosity of the toner at 75°C is between 1.0×104 and 1.0×105 Pa∙s, inclusive. The aforementioned thermosetting resin is preferably either a melamine resin or a urea resin. The toner cores contain a binding resin, the softening point (Tm) of which is preferably between 85°C and 95°C, inclusive.
