Abstract:
A toner for use in an electrophotographic process employing a flash fixing system for fixing a transferred toner image, which comprises a binder resin and a colorant, the binder resin comprising a combination of: a polyester resin comprising a chloroform-insoluble matter as at least part thereof; a polypropylene resin, and a resin of an ester type structure represented by formula (I) (wherein p, q, m, and n each is a positive integer of 16 to 22; and Rs may be the same or different and each represents hydrogen or alkyl having one to four carbon atoms). The toner is effective not only in attaining a greatly improved toner fixing strength but in inhibiting void generation during printing and inhibiting the emission of smoke or offensive odor during fixing.
