Abstract:
Provided is a toner for electrostatic charge image development having excellent low-temperature fixing properties, offset resistance, and heat-resistant storage stability. A toner for electrostatic charge image development containing colored resin particles and an external additive, the particles containing a binder resin, a colorant, and a softener; the toner being characterized in containing, as the softener, 1-15 parts by weight of a diester compound indicated by general formula (1) per 100 parts by weight of the colored resin particles, and in that the softening temperature (Ts) of the toner in a flow tester is 55-70°C, the outflow starting temperature (Tfb) is 80-100°C, and the glass transition temperature is 40-70°C. (In general formula (1), R1 indicates an ethylene group or a trimethylene group, R2 and R3 indicate a C11-25 straight alkyl group, and R2 and R3 are mutually independent.)
