Abstract:
Provided is a crystalline polyester resin for toner, which, when used as a resin for toner, makes it possible to obtain a toner that has sharp meltability, has excellent fixability and blocking characteristics, and also has good charging properties. This crystalline polyester resin for toner is obtained by condensation polymerization of a dicarboxylic acid component which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of terephthalic acid, 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid and derivatives of these, and a diol component which contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol and derivatives of these, and has a weight-average molecular weight of 5000-50000, measured using gel permeation chromatography.
