This toner in one embodiment of the present invention has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) determined from the molecular weight distribution according to GPC of 30000 ≤ Mw ≤ 95263, the weight fraction of insoluble gel components in THF is less than 5%, and the area occupancy of components having a molecular weight of 500-1500 in the GPC molecular weight distribution is 4-10%.
