Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a toner having excellent light resistance. A toner comprising toner mother particles each containing a binder resin, a wax and a coloring agent, said toner being characterized in that a dye compound represented by general formula (1) is contained as the coloring agent. [In general formula (1), R1, R2 and R6 independently represent an alkyl group, and R3 to R5 independently represent an alkyl group or fulfil the following requirement (i) or (ii): (i) R3 and R4 are bonded to each other to form a cyclic organic functional group containing a carbon atom to which both R3 and R4 are bonded, R3 and R4, and R5 represents an alkyl group; and (ii) R3 to R5 are bonded to one another to form a cyclic organic functional group containing a carbon atom to which all of R3 to R5 are bonded, R3, R4 and R5, and R7 and R8 independently represent an alkyl group or an acyl group or R7 and R8 are bonded to each other to form a cyclic organic functional group containing a nitrogen atom to which both R7 and R8 are bonded, R7 and R8.]
