Abstract:
The invention relates to tongs comprising a first and a second tong part (1,2) with respectively a handle area (G1, G2) and a head area (K1, K2), the tong parts (1, 2) being connected by a joint (3) between said areas and can pivot which respect to each other about a joint axis (A). Each head area (K1, K2) comprises an angled active element (W1, W2), the first active element (W1) of the first tong part (1) can be positioned in a position which is opposite to the second active element (W2) of the second tong part (2) on one side of the second active element (W2). At least the head area of one of the tong parts, in particular both tong parts, can be moved with respect to the other tong part perpendicular to the joint axis, in particular in the joint, and the first active element (W1) can be moved about the second active element (W2) to move into a second position which is opposite the second active element (W2) on the other side of the second active element (W2).
