Abstract:
According to the present invention, an insert mounting-seat (13) has: a bottom-wall surface (14) that faces forward in a tool-rotation direction; a first side-wall surface (15) that faces a tool outer-circumferential side; and a second side-wall surface (16) that faces a tool tip side. The bottom-wall surface (14) is configured from a first surface section (14a) that is positioned on a tool inner-circumferential side and from a second surface section (14b) that is positioned on the tool outer-circumferential side. The first surface section (14a) and the second surface section (14b) intersect in an approximate V-shape that is sunken rearward in the tool-rotation direction. A tool-base-side area or a tool-tip-side area of the first surface section (14a) of the bottom-wall surface (14) and a tool-base-side area and a tool-tip-side area of the second surface section (14b) function as contact parts that contact a cutting insert.
