Abstract:
A tool for correcting threads capable of correcting the threads of a bolt from the intermediate portion of the bolt in a restricted area. The tool (1) for correcting the threads comprises a die (2) having divided two die pieces (2') and (2') and an openable polygonal holder (3) having, at its center portion, a die insertion hole (3a) for detachably holding the die (2). The holder (3) comprises a pair of holder pieces (3') and (3') rotatably connected to each other at their base ends and having semi-circular or square cutout parts (3a') forming the die insertion hole (3a) formed at their center portions facing each other, fixing screws (4) fixing the die pieces (2') and (2') to the cutout parts (3a') of the holder pieces (3') and (3'), an elastic body (5) interposed between the holder pieces (3') and (3') and energizing them in an opening direction, and a locking mechanism (6) installed between the holder pieces (3') and (3') and annularly forming the die pieces (2') and (2') fixedly held by the holder pieces (3') and (3') by keeping a distance therebetween at a prescribed distance.
