Abstract:

The tool for a cut-off process according to the present invention has a top face, a front face, a rear face, a first side face, a second side face, and a reference face. The top face includes a first breaker projection face extending along the first side face, a second breaker projection face extending along the second side face, and a cutting face positioned between the first breaker projection face and the second breaker projection face in top view. A first front end of the first breaker projection face is positioned further in front than a second front end of the second breaker projection face in the direction from the rear face to the front face. A cutting edge in the present invention has a first cutting edge part and a second cutting edge part. In the direction perpendicular to the reference face, the second breaker projection face is lower than the first breaker projection face, and the boundary of the first cutting edge part and the second cutting edge part is lower than the second breaker projection face.
