Abstract:
This tool damage detection device is provided with: a data acquisition unit that acquires load data indicating a load on a principal shaft in a cutting feed section and rotational speed data indicating the rotational speed of the principal shaft; an extraction unit that extracts evaluation data used for evaluation of occurrence of damage of a tool from the load data, on the basis of the rotational speed data; a detection unit that detects occurrence of damage of the tool by using the evaluation data; and an output unit that outputs data indicating occurrence of damage of the tool when the detection unit has detected damage of the tool.
