Abstract:
Provided is a tool holder whereby a tool can be more effectively cooled. A tool insertion space is formed by a sleeve inner space (320) formed by the sleeve inner peripheral surface (310) of a sleeve (300) and by a cover inner space (420) formed by the cover inner peripheral surface (410) of a cover (400). Nozzle openings (471a, 472a) for ejecting a cooling medium are formed in the cover front end surface (400a) of the cover at positions radially outside an opening (420a). Nozzle passages (471, 472) in communication with the nozzle openings and tilted in the axial direction are formed in the cover. Axially extending grooves (361, 362) are formed in the sleeve inner peripheral surface. A recess (490) for connecting the front end-side portions of the grooves in the axial direction and the rear end-side portion of the nozzle passages in the axial direction is formed in the cover. When the cover is mounted to a body section (200), the recess serves as a connection passage for connecting the grooves and the nozzle passages.
