Abstract:
A tool holder (10) which is for gripping a tool (T) that is attached to a main spindle (108) of a machine tool (100) has: a tool holder gripping part (12) that is held, by a clamp mechanism of the main spindle of the machine tool, to the main spindle; a boss part (18) which is integrally formed with the tool holder gripping part, along a central axis line (O) of the tool holder, on the leading end side relative to the tool holder gripping part; a tool attachment hole (20) which is formed in the boss part along the central axis line of the tool holder; and at least one spiral groove (24, 26) which is formed in the boss part so as to extend, around the tool attachment hole, in such a manner as to spiral about the central axis line of the tool holder.
