Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tool magazine of a machine tool such as a column moving-type machining center, wherein: a magazine unit is installed on a saddle; when tools are changed by a tool change part movably installed on the saddle and a tool change part transfer part moving the tool change part independently of a column, a tool stored in a gripper part of the magazine unit is introduced or withdrawn in a direction perpendicular to the central axis of the tool; and a grip part of a change arm directly grips a flange part of the tool. Therefore, in a medium-size machine tool or a large-size machine tool which is long in the width direction thereof, the tool magazine can shorten the tool-change time, improve productivity, and minimize collisions or mechanical interference, so as to improve stability and reliability.
