Abstract:
The invention relates to a honing tool for positional honing. The honing tool according to the invention comprises a solid, unslit tool body, which is rigidly connected to the spindle of a honing machine. To achieve great stiffness, the tool body is grooved, but not slit, on the outer circumference for receiving the supporting strips or honing stones. With the honing tool according to the invention, very close positional tolerances can be reliably achieved as a result of the much greater stiffness of the tool body and the supporting strips. In particular, the perpendicularity and positional accuracy of the positionally honed bore can in this way be significantly improved.
