Title:
TOOTH BRUSH TOOTH PASTE TUBE UNDER PRESSURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1999/023911
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention consists of two parts. First you have the end piece. The end piece contains two or three discharge holes, the more discharge holes there are, the better the tooth-paste gel is spread over the tooth brush, the flow-through pipe with little shutoff valves; through this flow-through pipe the tooth-paste gel flows from the connection piece to the end piece after one has connected the end piece to the connection piece and when one has pressed the activation push-button of the replaceable tooth-paste-gel-tube-under-pressure system. The small shutoff valves located in the flow-through pipe can be used to close off the end piece by means of a hinge system that in this case has one direction of rotation, namely from below to above. In this way, any drying out of the tooth-paste gel can be prevented. The small shutoff valves open when the tooth-paste gel forces its way to the surface. When you no longer press the activation push-button, there is no longer pressure and the little valves fall shut again. Second you have the replaceable connection piece. This is the tooth-paste-gel-tube-under-pressure system. We can compare it with a shaving-foam squirt can, except that it is ergonomically designed so it can be held in the hand and can function as the 'two-in-one tooth brush'. The connection is simple. The end piece is clicked onto the connection piece by means of a screw system or a cup-and-ball joint click-in system. Then it is ready to be used. You then only have to press the activation push-button to get the tooth-paste gel onto the surface of your tooth brush.

1. CONCLUSION t. The invention inclues a new kind of tooth brush. The tooth brush consists of two parts. The first part, also called the end piece, (fig 2 A), consists of the toothbrush piece itself. The ovalshaped toothbrush piece looks approximately the same as an earlier toothbrush, except that new technical changes are included.
2. The toothbrush piece itself consists of toothbrush bristles, discharge holes, a flowthrough pipe with shutoff valves and a connecting element that connects to the connection piece or replaceable toothpaste gel tube.
3. The toothbrush piece is equipped with two or three discharge holes (fig 2) These discharge holes are located on the surface of the toothbrush piece. Around these discharge holes, the toothbrush bristles are located. From these discharge holes, the toothpaste gel comes up after you press the activation pushbutton (this is located on the connection piece) of the replaceable toothpastegeltubeunderpressure system. Te more discharge holes there are, the better the toothpaste gel is spread over the tooth brush.
4. In the toothbrush piece, also called the end piece (fig3), there is a small flowthrough pipe.(fig2) This is the small pipe through which the toothpaste gel flows from the tooth pastegeltubeunderpressure system to the end piece and then via the discharge holes comes up to the surface of the toothbrush piece or end piece. (fig3) These are minuscule shutoff valves in these discharge holes. These small valves are pushed up automatically when the toothpaste gel forces its way to the surface of the toothbrush piece. You could cause these small shutoff valves to rotate up in one direction by means of a hinge joint. These small shutoff valves serve to prevent drying out. The The toothbrush piece or end piece is clicked together with the second connecting part, also called the connection piece. (figl number4) This connection takes place by means of a screwin system or by means of a cupandball joint clickin system. This cylindershaped end that is located where the connection piece begins, connects with the end piece. The connection piece (fig2B) consists of a replaceable toothpastegeltubeunderpressure system. To make the toothpaste gel flow from the connection piece to the end piece, you only have to press the activation pushbutton and the toothpaste gel forces its way via the flowthrough pipe to the discharge holes and onto the surface of the end piece. The pressure system of this toothpaste gel tube is comparable with that of a shavingfoam gel squirt can except that the form of the toothpaste gel tube is ergonomically adjusted to the human grip.
5. 6 The new aspect of this invention is that you no longer have one tooth brush and one toothpaste tube, but that this new invention"the twoinone toothbrush with toothpastegel underpressure system"is designed as one new handy and usable tooth brush. i', The regular presentday tooth brush still consists of two parts, namely the tooth brush and the toothpaste tube. The big disadvantage is that you must mess with the tooth paste to get it on your tooth brush. You always have to put the screw cap back on the tooth paste tube, because otherwise your tooth paste will dry out Especiallv for children, elderly people, handicapped people with one hand or people with only a couple of fingers, and people who suffer from Parkinson's disease (because of the shaking, the person in question has difficulty getting his tooth paste on his tooth rbush), for these reasons"the twoinone toothbrush with toothpaste gelunderpressure system"is a useful improvement. Making less of a mess and brushing your teeth more quickly is guaranteed. The tube is always replaceable, can be taken along and is handy as well ! S Young and old will be able to use it without a problem because it works so easily. Also, this twoinone tooth brush takes up less space. For example, it is easy to store in your bathroom cabinet, toiletarticle case, your purse (so you can brush your teeth in between times, for example, after a dinner, at work, on holiday, etc.).
Description:
Description, conclusion, drawings and excerpt TITLE OF THE INVENTION TOOTH BRUSH TOOTH PASTE TUBE UNDER PRESSURE DESCRIPTION OF TECHNICAL ASPECTS The first part (end piece A p2) consists namely of the tooth-brush piece.

This tooth-brush piece is equipped with 2 or 3 discharge holes (2) from which the gel (7) comes up after you have pressed the activation push-button (5).

This tooth-brush piece (end piece A p2) is clicked together onto the second connecting piece (connection piece B p2), by means of a screw system or bv means of a cup-and-ball joint click-in system (detail drawing of end piece p3 and detail drawing of connection piece p3).

Both connection-system forms must be equipped with a small duct pipe (small flow-through pipe p2) or hole. This is necessary after you have connected the (end piece A) with the (connection piece B p2) to allow the tooth-paste gel to flow through.

To make use of the tvo-in-one tooth brush (complete assembly A+B p2) after you have connected the (end piece A p2) with the (connection piece B p2), you must press an activation push-button (5).

This is necessary to make the tooth-paste gel (7) flow from (connection piece B p2) to (end piece A p2) so the tooth-paste gel (7) finally reaches the discharge holes (2) on the surface of the tooth-brush piece (end piece A p2).

The pressure system is approximately the same as that of a shaving-foam gel squirt can.

The only difference is that in this case it is tooth-paste gel and that the connection pieces, thus (end piece A p2) and (connection piece B p2), are both equipped with a small duct pipe (8) that also clicks together to connect the (end piece A p2) with (connection piece B p2). The tooth-brush piece (end piece A p2) itself has two or three minuscule shutoff valves (9) that close off the two or three discharge holes (2) after use of the two-in-one tooth brush (complete assembly A+B p2).

These shutoff valves (9) are very useful to prevent air from penetrating from the outside. so the tooth- <BR> <BR> paste gel does not have an opportunity to dry out. After you have squirted a certain amount, you can close the shutoff valves (9) so you cannot squirt more tooth-paste gel by accident you are brushing your teeth if you press the activation push-button. And finally, this is also convenient when you take the two-in-one tooth brush with you when you travel.

DESCRIPTION OF TECHNICAL ASPECTS (END PIECE) The first part (end piece A p2) consists of the actual tooth-brush piece.

This tooth-brush piece is connected to the second piece (connection piece B p2). the tooth-paste gel tube. This is always replaceable and disposable.

The tooth-brush piece (end piece A p2) consists of three parts.

First there is the connection piece that is located at the right side of the tooth-brush piece (half recess).

This connection piece is a part of the connection system. When the second part (the tooth-paste gel tube) is connected, the connection system is compete. Then the two-in-one tooth brush is ready for use.

The connection system consists of a screw system or a cup-and-ball joint click-in system (4) (detail drawing of end piece p3 and detail drawing of connection piece p3).

Both connections must be equipped with a small duct pipe (small flow-through pipe p2) to allow the<BR> <BR> <BR> <BR> tooth-paste gel (7) to flow from (connection piece B p2) to (end piece A p2).

Second, the tooth-brush piece (end piece A p2) is equipped with 2 or 3 discharge holes. (The more holes there are the better the gel is distributed) (7). These little discharge holes are present to allow the tooth-paste gel (7) to flow from (connection piece B p2) to (end piece A p2). This tooth-paste gel finally comes up on the surface of the tooth-brush piece via the discharge holes (2).

In conclusion. on the tooth-brush piece there are also shutoff valves (9) to close the discharge holes (2) after use of the two-in-one tooth brush.

These valves are extremely useful. The technical system of these valves could be as follows: one single hinge system that would therefore have only one rotation direction, in this case from below to above.

These little valves would thus be opened automatically when the tooth-paste gel (7) is finding its wav to the outside.

This is to prevent the tooth-paste gel from drying out, so no outside air can penetrate after use, (this is to prevent mould), and also so too much tooth-paste gel cannot flow out through these shutoff valves if you press the activation push-button by accident wlule your teeth are being brushed, and finally so you can easily take the two-in-one tooth brush along when travelling without making a mess.

The regular tooth-brush bristles (1) are positioned around the discharge holes.

DESCRIPTION OF TECHNICAL ASPECTS (CONNECTION PIECE) The second piece (connection piece B p2), also called the tooth-paste gel tube, consists of three parts.

First, at the left side of the tooth-paste gel tube (connection piece B p2) you have a connection system that works by means of a screw system or a cup-and-ball joint click-in system (4).

Both connections must be equipped with a small duct pipe (small flow-through pipe p2) allowing the tooth-paste gel (7) to flow from (connection piece B p2) to (end piece A p2) when you have pressed the activation push-button (5).

Second, you have the propulsion system.

This is approximately identical to a shaving-foam gel squirt-can system, except that it is used for tooth-paste gel and that the connection of the tooth-paste gel tube and the tooth-brush piece click together by means of a cup-and-ball joint click-in system or a screw system, with both pieces being equipped with a small duct pipe through which the tooth-paste gel can flow in air-tight and water- tight circumstances.

And finally, we look at the tooth-paste gel tube in its entirey.

This tube is replaceable, when the tube is empty after use and ready to be replace. by a new tube (6) = disposable and replaceable tube.

OPERATION OF THE INVENTION Connect the (connection piece B p2) to the (end piece A p2). Then, to start using it, all you have to do is to press the activation push-button (5) to squirt tooth-paste gel.

ADVANTAGES AND COMPARISON OF THE CURRENT TOOTH BRUSH WITH THE NEW INVENTION The regular present-day tooth brush still consists of two parts, namely the tooth brush and the tooth- paste tube.

The big disadvantage is that you must mess with the tooth paste to get it on your brush. You always have to put the screw cap back on the tooth paste tube. because othenvise the tooth paste will dry out.

Especially for children, elderly people, handicapped people with one hand or a couple of fingers and people who suffer from Parldnson's disease (because of the shaking, the person in question has difficulty getting his tooth paste on his tooth brush), the two-in-one tooth brush is a yen, useful improvement.

Making less of a mess and brushing your teeth more quickly is guaranteed. Just one sliding button closes off the discharge holes (not discussed is that they can be closed off in various ways).

The tube is always replaceable, can be taken along and is handy as well.

Young and old will be able to use it without a problem.

Also, this two-in-one tooth brush takes up less space. in your bath-room cabinet. toilet-article case. suit case, even your purse, so you can brush your teeth in between times, for example, after a dinner. at work, at home, on holiday, etc.
