Abstract:
In order to achieve a high cutting accuracy regardless of the level of skill of the presiding physician, image information of the tooth (T) to be cut is acquired, and on the basis of the acquired image information, a plurality of connected line segments (s) are set that approximate the envisioned cut region of the aforementioned tooth (T). On the basis of the set line segments (s), a shaping contour (P) that reproduces the envisioned cut region of the aforementioned tooth (T) is formed in accordance with predetermined rules. The aforementioned tooth is automatically cut according to the formed shaping contour (P), or guidance facilitating the cutting to proceed along the formed shaping contour is provided to an operator who cuts the aforementioned tooth using a cutting tool.
