Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/143313
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a toothbrush for brushing teeth while sandwiching a row of teeth, of which the block head surface has an engagement angle wider than before even if the inclination angle of bristles is 10°-15° that has been considered a conventionally impossible angle in the industry, or the block head surface does not have an engagement angle and has one concave surface, and which can be mass produced only with an automatic machine without relying upon manual skills by using the currently available die production technology and the most advanced mechanical bristle-setting technology. A toothbrush for brushing three sides, i.e. the occlusion surface, the lip side and the tongue side, of a row of teeth simultaneously, wherein the bristles on the outer row are set while kept inclined toward the center line side of the toothbrush body. An angle that both block head surfaces make was conventionally 160° assuming the inclination angle of bristles is 10°. According to the invention, an angle that both block head surfaces make is set at 170° in the case of bristles of four rows, and a block head base is divided into three by providing slits at two positions and an angle that both block head surfaces make is set at 175° in the case of bristles of three rows, thus making the block head base more planar.
