Abstract:
The invention pertains to a toothbrush provided with a head wherein bristle bundles in which multiple bristles are bundled are implanted and a handle extending from the head, which is characterized in that only a region that is 25-75% of the length of the implanted region from the base towards the tip of the head is provided with a separated bristle bundle implantation area in which bristle bundles that are adjacent to each other across the central line of the implanted region from the base to the tip of the head are disposed so as to be separated by a distance that is 15-70% of the length in the direction orthogonal to said central line of the implanted region, and the region where the bristle bundles are present in said separated bristle bundle implantation area has an opening at the base end of the head. The invention provides a toothbrush that is not only able to establish both the ability of the bristle tips to approach the dental cervix and the ability to remove plaque but also has a superior feel when used.
