Abstract:
The present invention provides a toothbrush which exhibits a high cleaning effect even if the neck of the toothbrush is thinned. The present invention relates to a toothbrush which comprises: a head having bristle bundles embedded therein; a neck extended from the head; and a handle extended from the neck, and the toothbrush is configured so that the profile of a cross-section of the neck changes as the neck extends from the head side toward the handle side. The profile of a cross-section of the neck taken on the head side has a substantially circular shape. The profile of the substantially circular cross-section changes to a substantially square shape as the neck extends toward the handle side, and the sides of the substantially square shape consist of a front surface, a rear surface, and side surfaces. Also, the profile of the substantially square cross-section changes to a substantially polygonal shape as the neck extends toward the handle side. The substantially polygonal shape has apexes on both side surfaces and is flat in the thickness direction.
