Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush that can realize an effect of cleaning the inside of the mouth and an improvement of resistance to splaying of bristles without incurring an increase in cost and a decrease in productivity. Provided is a toothbrush that is equipped with a head part (10) in which a plurality of implantation holes 12 are provided in an implantation surface (11). A bristle bundle is implanted in each implantation hole using a flat wire (6) that is sandwiched by a folded bundle of bristles and that is thrust into the inside of the implantation hole. The thickness of the head part is 2-4.5 mm. The maximum depth of the implantation holes is 1.5-4.0 mm. Each implantation hole has a flat wire unoccupied area (NA) that is on the implantation surface side above an upper side (6a) of the flat wire, that faces the upper side, and that is not occupied by the flat wire. The height of the flat wire unoccupied area in the depth direction of the implantation holes is 0.5-0.8 mm.
