Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush which, despite having a slim handle body, is easy to operate and adapted to various holding methods. A handle portion (30) comprises: a plurality of lateral surface-side maximal portions which are arranged in a long-axis direction in a frontal view orthogonal to a bristled surface (11), and of which the width in a lateral surface direction varies continuously and symmetrically with respect to both sides; a lateral surface-side minimal portion which is arranged between the lateral surface-side maximal portions and of which the width in the lateral surface direction varies continuously and symmetrically with respect to both sides; a plurality of front surface-side maximal portions (51, 52) which are arranged in the long-axis direction in a lateral view and of which the thickness varies continuously; a front surface-side minimal portion (53) which is arranged between the front surface-side maximal portions and of which the thickness varies continuously; and a first straight portion (54) which extends substantially linearly from a boundary (31) between a neck portion (20) and the handle portion on the back side toward the rear end. The neck portion includes, on the back side, a second straight portion (22) extending linearly from the rear end of a head portion toward the boundary. The boundary includes a back side maximal portion (55) which is disposed on the distal end side of the front surface-side maximal portion positioned on the most-distal end side, and of which the thickness varies continuously.
