Abstract:

The present invention provides a toothbrush that provides excellent handleability within the oral cavity even when a brush molding having a fitting structure is in use. This toothbrush is equipped with: a handle body which is formed of a hard resin; and a brush molding (20) which is formed of a soft resin and provided to the leading end side of the handle body. The handle body has an insertion part provided so as to protrude on the leading end side thereof. The brush molding includes a head base body (21) and filaments (23) that protrude from the front face side of the head base body. The head base body has formed therein an insertion hole (22) in which the insertion part is inserted and fitted. The brush molding is configured such that: the maximum distance between the base end of the filaments and the back-side surface (21c) of the head base body is 2.0-4.5 mm; and, when the maximum length of the head base body in the insertion direction is defined as L1, and when the maximum length of the insertion hole in the insertion direction is defined as L2, the proportion, represented by L2/L1, of the maximum length of the insertion hole to the maximum length of the head base body is 0.30-0.70.
